The first and only museum of its kind dedicated to the space industry museum in the city of Vyborg


Vyborg is called «cosmic» not just like that:
Many Russian and Soviet cosmonauts visited Vyborg
Among them were Russian test cosmonauts Oleg Germanovich Artemyev and Andrey Nikolaevich Babkin.
In 1961 Yuri Gagarin visited Vyborg
On June 30, 1961, the first ever cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin visited Vyborg on his way to Finland, during his first trip abroad with the so-called "Mission of Peace"
In  Vyborg, the floating cosmodrome "Sea Launch" was built
For delivery of the launch vehicle by the sea to the equator, where there are the best conditions for launch into the equatorial orbit

The museum has collections of:

  • Collection of the representative of the International Union of Journalists and cosmoarchivist  — Vladimir Ivanovich Bernikov,
  • The largest collection of rare books in Russia about space and cosmonauts with autographs of Soviet and foreign cosmonauts
  • A collection of space food, badges, stamps, numismatics, briefings, and other themed stands.

The museum also has the following thematic stands:

  • «Gagarin in Vyborg»
  • «Sea Launch»
  • «Rocket Engine Testing Center»
  • «Cosmonaut Rescue Service»
  • «International Space Station» and many others
